Why is it called OP Mail?
OP as in overpowered. We built the mail service we wanted: every protocol, every power tool, none of the surveillance. The spec sheet above is the origin story.
Can I use my existing mail app?
Yes. OP Mail speaks IMAP, SMTP, POP3 and JMAP, so Apple Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird, K-9 and friends all work. Most clients configure themselves automatically when you enter your address.
Where is my data stored?
On infrastructure we operate in the United Kingdom and the EU, encrypted at rest and replicated across multiple nodes. We never sell, scan or mine your mail.
Can you migrate my old mail?
Yes, migration is included with every plan. We import your existing mailboxes over IMAP from almost any provider, folders and all, at no extra cost.
What happens if I leave?
You export everything: standard mbox or direct IMAP transfer, plus your calendars and contacts. No lock-in, no exit fees, and we will even help you move out.
Are there native apps?
In development. Native SwiftUI apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac are on the way, JMAP-native with instant push, alongside an Azrak VPN app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. Until then, webmail plus any IMAP or JMAP client works beautifully.

OP Mail is built and operated by Azrak Group Ltd, a UK company. We run our own business on this exact platform, so uptime matters to us personally.
